When buying a new construction home, it’s imperative to have an agent represent you.

We regularly hear new construction homebuyers tell us they don’t believe they need an agent to represent their best interests, and this couldn’t be further from the truth. The builder’s representative, no matter how great they seem, solely represents the builder—not you.

We’ve saved our new construction homebuyer clients thousands of dollars over the years when they’ve run into issues with their builders.

This means if you run into any issues with them (perhaps they built something that wasn’t agreed upon), they may not be as open to correcting the issue than they would if you worked with an agent. An experienced agent with a network of other agents could talk negatively about them and prevent those agents from bringing more buyers to the builder’s community, which means they wouldn’t want to upset your agent and impact their future sales.

We’ve saved our new construction homebuyer clients thousands of dollars over the years when they’ve run into issues with their builders—issues that might not have been resolved if they were working on their own.

If you’d like to talk more about the importance of hiring an agent when purchasing new construction or have any other real estate questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’d love to help you.
