About JJ Kennemer

A native Texan, JJ was born and raised in small town Montgomery, just outside Houston. An ambitious achiever, JJ as a youngster was involved in almost every activity available, and graduated as the valedictorian of her class. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with honors at The University of Texas at Austin, and began her career as a DNA evidence technician with the Texas Department of Public Safety’s crime lab.

Following a run at medical school, JJ opted to change course and try sales, and it stuck. She worked with David Weekly Homes, spent a few years in New York City as a sales trainer with Yahoo! Hotjobs, returned to Austin and eventually returned to real-estate sales. Having earned her license, JJ went to work first with JB Goodwin REALTORS®, then became a buyer’s agent with Luisa Mauro Real Estate.

A Graduate of the REALTOR® Institute and Certified Negotiation Expert, JJ focuses mainly on assisting clients with their home purchase in which this advanced education helps she and her clients be successful. Her natural ebullience, openness and insightful understanding of what matters most to each client make JJ an extraordinary agent.

JJ and her husband, Steve, love living in Austin’s vibrant SoCo district with their cat, Francine, and own a bed-and-breakfast business in neighboring Wimberley. A certified yoga instructor, JJ practices at the TownLake YMCA, where she’s also a member of the Board of Managers. Additionally, the couple are active within their church, and serve as Village Members for clean-water nonprofit Well Aware.
